FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Are the summer programs open to anyone?
Yes, Summer at Seabury is open to all kids on Maui - they do not have to be enrolled at Seabury Hall to attend any of our summer programs.
Q: What are the dates of Summer at Seabury 2025?
A: For students entering grades 1 - 6 in Fall 2025, Session I is from June 2 to June 13, and Session II is from June 16 to June 27. Students entering grades 7+ can sign up for a variety of week-long activities from June 2 to 27.
Q: What changes are taking place this summer?
A: We listened to your feedback and made the following adjustments:
On the first day of each session, all students in grades 1-6 will participate in a half-day Seabury Summer Kickoff from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, which will be a fun day of games and activities. Students will have the opportunity to get to know their groups, meet their instructors, and familiarize themselves with the campus. This orientation is designed to help students feel comfortable, build early connections, and explore key areas of the campus before their regular camp activities begin. Lunch is not provided, and students must be picked up between 11:30 and 11:45 AM. Please note that Seabury Summer Kickoff does not apply to week-long camps for grades 7+.
We’ve incorporated more STEM classes at all grade levels to offer hands-on learning experiences through projects, sparking curiosity and enhancing problem-solving skills.
We are offering more week-long camps for entering grades 7+, with twelve options that blend academics, creativity, and real-world learning such as cooking, technology, music, business, and more.
We’re creating designated pick-up zones based on grade level and family dynamics.
Q: Are there flexible schedule options?
A: Families can choose to participate in one or both sessions. They can also sign up for half-day (8:00 - 11:30) or full-day (8:00 - 3:30) schedules. Older students can sign up for one or more week-long courses. Contact the Summer School Coordinator directly with additional schedule-related questions.
Q: When is registration open?
A: Registration starts on March 20, 2025, and runs through May 23. Space is limited, so we recommend signing up as soon as possible.
Q: What is the price of Seabury Summer?
A: Prices range from $275 - $750, depending on the program. Each full-day, two-week session costs $750 ($375/week) per child for grade 1 - 6 students. Half-day schedules are $400 ($200/week) per child. Camps for students entering grades 7+ are priced at $275 (additional supply fees may apply).
Q: What types of classes will my child take?
A: Students entering grades 1 - 6 will enjoy a varied schedule with classes related to science, art, athletics, technology, language, culture, and foundational academic skills. There is a solid commitment to creating a warm, caring atmosphere that allows children to explore their curiosities and discover hidden talents.
We offer a variety of academic, artistic, and exploratory activities for students entering grades 7+. Courses do not earn high school credit.
Q: Are there any additional fees for supplies needed?
A: There are no additional fees for supplies or materials for students entering grades 1 - 6. There may be supply fees for students in grades 7+ based on the subject.
We highly recommend that students are sent to school each day with the following items from home:
Backpack or bookbag
Reusable water bottle
Lunch
A morning and afternoon snack (if applicable)
Q: What is the daily schedule for students?
A: For a full schedule, students in grades 1 - 6 will take three classes before and three after lunch. There are short breaks throughout the day and a 30-minute lunch break. Half-day students will leave after their third class, before lunch.
Students will follow the same schedule each day, meaning they will attend the same classes for the ten days of the session. This will allow them to complete longer-range projects, build deeper friendships, and strengthen targeted skills. Students participating in both sessions will take different classes or explore new topics in the subsequent session, offering more variety and opportunities to uncover unique skills.
Students in grades 7+ can attend weekly sessions from 8:30 - 11:30 and 12:00 - 3:00.
Q: Are there any athletic activities or sports camps?
A: While there are athletic and outdoor activities incorporated into our schedule, we are not offering dedicated sports camps this year.
Q: Do you provide snacks and lunch for the students?
A: We will not provide any food or drinks for students. They must bring their own lunch and snacks daily. They can access the water refilling stations. We may open a snack shop where kids can purchase items at a small cost, though this is not guaranteed.
Q: Is transportation available?
A: We can provide bus service from Kahului on a first-come-first-serve basis for an additional fee. Your family can sign up for bus service at the same time as you register your child, or you sign up at a later date.
Q: Can I drop off my child early? When do I need to pick them up?
A: Students may be dropped off as early as 7:45 a.m. There is no supervision before 7:45 a.m. All students must be picked up by 3:45 p.m. as there is no supervision after that time.
Half-day students will report to the main circle off Olinda Rd. immediately following their third class. They will be supervised at the pick-up circle and must be picked up at the main circle between 11:30 and 11:45.
Q: Who teaches summer school classes?
A: Summer classes are taught by experienced teachers from Seabury, other private and public schools, and community experts.
Q: What are your health and safety protocols?

Q: Is any financial aid available?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer financial assistance for our summer program. However, we do accept vouchers or aid from other community organizations.

Q: What if I want to make schedule changes or withdraw my child from a course after registering?
A: Contact the Summer School Coordinators directly at [email protected] to request changes to your child’s schedule. There are no transfer fees; however, a cancellation fee will apply as stated in our policy if you choose to withdraw your child from summer camps.
