STEM Design with Legos

Unleash the power of creativity and engineering in "STEM Design with Legos." Participants will engage in hands-on STEM projects using everyone's favorite building blocks. From constructing simple machines to solving design challenges, this course combines fun and learning, fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and a passion for STEM exploration.

Around the World Adventure: Geography and Culture

Embark on a global expedition with "Around the World Adventure: Geography and Culture." Participants will explore different countries, customs, and landmarks through engaging activities, games, and projects. From creating international crafts to learning basic phrases in various languages, this course promotes cultural awareness, geography skills, and a sense of curiosity about the diverse world around us.

Summer Stick Fun: Lacrosse & Ball Play

This class will introduce students to the exciting world of lacrosse. Lacrosse is a fast-paced team sport in growing popularity where players use a long-handled stick with a netted head to catch, carry, and pass a rubber ball. Explore the fundamentals of lacrosse, from mastering stick techniques to understanding the rules of the game. Engage in thrilling ball play activities that enhance coordination and teamwork. This course is designed to foster a love for physical activity, teamwork, and the joy of sports.

Storybook STEM

Believe in the magic of stories and STEM with this Storybook STEM course.  This course will make learning engaging and fun by merging literature with the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and math.  Students will explore, experiment, and discover together while enhancing their reading comprehension skills.

Colorful Connections

Dive into a colorful journey of self-discovery! Through expressive art activities like painting, collage, and drawing, students sharpen their communication, cooperation, and conflict-resolution skills. This class empowers young students to navigate their emotions and understand the feelings of others with resources from the “Be Good People” curriculum. There will be a focus on self-awareness and self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills.  The class also includes team-building activities that encourage cooperation, problem-solving, and the development of a positive and inclusive classroom community.

Japanese Language & Culture

Students will have the opportunity to experience a taste of Japan and be immersed in its language and culture. Both beginner and intermediate students will enjoy the class. Basic words and expressions will be covered. Students will learn Japanese sounds and rhythms, hands-on activities, and fun games. Projects in this class will include origami, sumi-e, and more!
