Description

Led by experienced coaches, this co-ed camp offers a dynamic blend of skill development, teamwork, and fun. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, you'll hone your dribbling, ball-handling, and shooting through drills, scrimmages, and game simulations. To finish off each day, we plan to organize the kids by skill level and play a series of games. The teams will constantly be mixed up to allow the opportunity for each camper to play alongside someone new.

Participants should bring the following each day:

  • Basketball sneakers (no black-soled shoes/vans/crocs)

  • Athletic attire

  • Water bottle

  • Snacks

Coaches:

Coach Prather has served as the Seabury boys varsity head coach for 12 seasons and has helped guide the Spartans to 10 MIL Championships and 12 berths to the State Tournament.  He is a former MIL Player of the Year for basketball and also played in college for four years at UH Hilo, where he was inducted into the UH Hilo Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.  He also has experience playing overseas in Japan and New Zealand.  He has a passion for the sport of basketball and has enjoyed working with kids of all ages and skill levels for the past several years.  His coaching philosophy is simple: Be a good teammate, play hard, and have fun!

Coach Palmer is a Seabury Hall graduate and one of the greatest athletes in the school’s history.  He was not only the Player of the Year for basketball but also an accomplished football and baseball player, leading his respective teams to numerous championships.  He went on to play basketball at the collegiate level and brings years of coaching experience with him to the camp. He believes strongly in the importance of fundamentals.
